Matchups are set for day three at PGL Masters Bucharest, featuring the first round of playoff-qualifying matches and elimination games.

G2 have their backs against the wall heading into the third Swiss round after suffering losses to Natus Vincere and Aurora , and will begin their recovery campaign against DENDELE in the 0-2 pool.
9z and TYLOO will also face off to avoid an early elimination, while Vitality and FUT square off in the 2-0 pool for a spot in the playoffs.
Extra attention will be on the latter team, who need to play five matches with Álvaro "SunPayus" García before the November 2 VRS cut-off for him to replace Nikita "cmtry" Samolotov on their roster.
Advancing undefeated and losing in the quarter-finals would spell doom for Astralis , as it would leave the Ukrainian listed on both teams' invitation rosters, only one of which could accept the invite.
Natus Vincere arrived in Bucharest facing immense pressure to pick up some LAN wins to secure their Major invite, and look to have done enough after beating G2 and FURIA .
Spirit continued their recovery run after losing their opener to BETBOOM , and now have two chances to make the playoffs with Danil "donk" Kryshkovets looking back in form.
Spirit never looked troubled on Nuke between donk getting a few openers, sh1ro thwarting FURIA Outside, and KSCERATO having a noticeably quiet map.
A Dualies quad-kill by sh1ro set the tone for the map as Spirit romped ahead, 7-3, with a 4k from Danil "molodoy" Golubenko to recover a 3v5 offering FURIA a small glimmer of hope near the end of the half.
A pistol and conversion then let FURIA tie the game at 7-7, but sh1ro and donk continued to steamroll and ran over the defenses for a six-round run to win the map.
Spirit couldn't keep up the same form on Ancient despite donk finding openers, with FURIA taking control on the defense.
Any final doubts can be assuaged with a win over BETBOOM in the 2-0 pool, but a win isn't guaranteed with Aleksandr "zorte" Zagodyrenko currently boasting the second-highest rating in Romania (1.53).

Fictional bylines. Each take uses a line above and adds no facts.
Team Spirit still has to answer for this: "G2 have their backs against the wall heading into the third Swiss round after suffering losses to Natus Vincere and Aurora , and will begin their recovery campaign against DENDE…" That is the soft spot on the card. Nothing else in these lines closes it.

FURIA can stand on this line: "Natus Vincere arrived in Bucharest facing immense pressure to pick up some LAN wins to secure their Major invite, and look to have done enough after beating G2 and FURIA ." It is already on the card, so the case does not need a streak or a roster rumor.
