NAVI rise another nine places on the VRS after taking out FURIA

Natus Vincere have earned a timely VRS payout of 85 points after taking down FURIA 2-0 at PGL Masters. NAVI flew into Romania under pressure and with their Major invite still in doubt.

They even signed up for HyperX Retake S13, creating a possible clash with IEM Beijing and the end of PGL Masters, to make sure they would earn the LAN wins required to keep the organization's 100% record when it comes to Major attendance.

But at the end of day two, Natus Vincere sit with a 2-0 record, 11th on the European VRS and a Major invite in 99.9% of simulations .

That figure assumes that they will still attend the Retake LAN and top up their LAN win factor further, but either way NAVI can start to wipe some sweat off their brow.

The series began on Ancient, the first time these two ever played FURIA 's old permaban against each other.

Drin "makazze" Shaqiri 's Ancient form has been on the slide, averaging a 1.02 rating on the map since the summer break, but he was back to his best as he ran riot in Middle.

makazze 's T side form helped Natus Vincere to a 7-1 lead, but the map was still in jeopardy after a valiant FURIA fightback.

FURIA can stand on this line: "The series began on Ancient, the first time these two ever played FURIA 's old permaban against each other." It is already on the card, so the case does not need a streak or a roster rumor.
