One of the final chances for teams to clinch a Major invite in the PGL Singapore season is at FiRe LAST CHANCE, where teams like Wildcard, NRG, and 100 Thieves are playing to try and secure a Major spot.
Wildcard’s Jadon "HexT" Postma spoke with Dust2 Brasil at LAST CHANCE, comparing this event to the RMR events of old.
These tournaments were a team’s only chance to make the Major, giving a similar vibe to the current-day last chance tournaments leading up to the Major invite date.
For NRG and Wildcard, who currently sit on opposite sides of the bubble, a win against the other could go a long way to earning a berth in the Major.
NRG will be more desperate for the win, as their poor form has them on the outside looking in. Wildcard could still make PGL Singapore despite a loss, thanks to paiN’s elimination from Gamers Club Masters VII.
According to HLTV’s calculations , NRG will be eliminated from the Major with a loss and a Wildcard win will give them a 93% chance at an invite.
