The MongolZ beat HEROIC for Beijing playoffs
The MongolZ 's renaissance since signing Yesuntumur "nin9" Gantulga has reached a new peak after they locked in a top-six finish at IEM Beijing. "It feels amazing to be on stage in China, our home region," Sodbayar "Techno" Munkhbold said post-game.

"I'm glad nin9 won that clutch, it was an important round." Having beaten Legacy on day one, the Mongolians drew HEROIC in the playoff decider and went about business with a convincing 13-7 win on Inferno after dominating on CT side.
Nuke, HEROIC 's pick, was tougher going as 10-7 and 12-10 leads failed to be converted. A magnificent Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin quad-kill was illustrative of HEROIC 's fightback but also some terrible spacing from The MongolZ as overtime beckoned.
In extra time it was new boy nin9 who stood tallest with a smart rotation and sharp 1v2 to match.
Techno then added another 1v2 that spelt the end of HEROIC 's resistance to secure playoffs, with nin9 averaging a 1.86 rating over the 12 rounds of overtime.
After four consecutive ninth-place finishes at Big Events, The MongolZ are back where they belong, in an arena and deservedly so. HEROIC , meanwhile, drop to the lower bracket for a tough game against Falcons with elimination on the line.
Even though the game was not for elimination, ending world number one FURIA 's seven-game winning streak is a big achievement for the new-look MongolZ lineup.
It is testament to Erdenedalai "maaRaa" Bayanbat and Garidmagnai "bLitz" Byambasuren 's endless ability to rebuild lineups back into playoff contenders, but this one might have been their least likely yet.
The series began with a Sodbayar "Techno" Munkhbold ace clutch, but a brilliant Danil "molodoy" Golubenko performance brought FURIA back into the game and eventually a 13-10 win.
It was then time for Cache, a map The MongolZ had lost four times in a row, with all signs leading towards a comfortable FURIA win. But bLitz flipped the script with a brilliant performance.
His Deagle 2k was followed up by a 1v2 clutch and he ended the map with a 1.97 rating. On Dust2, it was usual star player Usukhbayar "910" Banzragch 's turn to be the main character as he delivered 26 frags in regulation.

Fictional bylines. Each take uses a line above and adds no facts.
Falcons Esports still has to answer for this: ""I'm glad nin9 won that clutch, it was an important round." Having beaten Legacy on day one, the Mongolians drew HEROIC in the playoff decider and went about business with a con…" That is the soft spot on the card. Nothing else in these lines closes it.

The headline skips this: "Nuke, HEROIC 's pick, was tougher going as 10-7 and 12-10 leads failed to be converted. A magnificent Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin quad-kill was illustrative of HEROIC 's fightback…" That is the reading I would argue. The rest of the card does not cancel it.

FURIA can stand on this line: "Even though the game was not for elimination, ending world number one FURIA 's seven-game winning streak is a big achievement for the new-look MongolZ lineup." It is already on the card, so the case does not need a streak or a roster rumor.
