ZywOo shines as Vitality win ESL Pro League Season 24 over MOUZ

The win is Vitality 's second title in a row after they won StarSeries Fall earlier in September as they look to be getting back to the level they displayed at the start of the year.

"Thanks to my partner and my baby that it didn't happen too early. I could win another trophy at least," Dan "apEX" Madesclaire joked in a post-match interview.

The series began on Cache, where MOUZ got off to a hot 5-1 start thanks to some proactive plays on the CT side.

While they shut down anything Vitality had to offer in the opening few rounds, however, apEX and company quickly woke up to win six consecutive rounds to win the half.

Once on the CT side, Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut didn't let off the gas to power his team to a 13-7 victory with 21 kills, 2.00 rating, and 107 ADR.

The French sniper averaged a tournament-high 1.43 rating across the event and topped the board in all three of Vitality 's playoff games against PARIVISION (1.66), Aurora (1.44), and MOUZ (1.65).

Vitality 's star also placed first on the leaderboards in terms of Kills per round (0.86) and Round swing (+4.33%), and placed second in Damage per round (85.0) and KAST (79.2%).

The award is ZywOo 's sixth of the year and extends his all-time overall record to 34 medals.

Inferno continued in the same vein, as Shahar "flameZ" Shushan and apEX locked down Banana to build a platform for a dominant 9-3 half.

Fictional bylines. Each take uses a line above and adds no facts.

Team Vitality still has to answer for this: "The win is Vitality 's second title in a row after they won StarSeries Fall earlier in September as they look to be getting back to the level they displayed at the start of the …" That is the soft spot on the card. Nothing else in these lines closes it.

The headline skips this: "The series began on Cache, where MOUZ got off to a hot 5-1 start thanks to some proactive plays on the CT side." That is the reading I would argue. The rest of the card does not cancel it.
