Perfect World Confirms the Second CS2 Major of 2027 in China
Perfect World, the Chinese publisher of Counter-Strike 2, has officially announced that it will host the second Major of 2027. In other words, the main rumors turned out to be true.

In its announcement, Perfect World has not yet revealed which city will become the home for the best CS2 teams a little over a year from now.
Instead, the company is asking Chinese users to guess the host city and explain the reasoning behind their choice. The guessing activity runs until September 15, 2026, so we could get the official city announcement as early as this week.
According to the main rumors , however, the event will take place in Shanghai, which already hosted a Major in 2024. Team Spirit lifted the trophy on that occasion. What Else Do We Know About the CS2 Winter Major 2027?
There is very little that has been officially confirmed so far. Perfect World timed the announcement to coincide with the ninth anniversary of CS in China, but that’s about all we have to go on.
If the Shanghai rumors prove accurate, there are already a few potential venues to consider.
