The Mongolian team are making their tier-one debut with Yesuntumur "nin9" Gantulga at the Romanian tournament, and while their newest recruit averaged a steady 1.04 rating across the series, the team looked much more cohesive overall.

The victory comes just days after The MongolZ secured the title at 1win Private Club Season 2, likely earning a Singapore Major Stage 2 invite in the process.

Their PGL Masters Bucharest opener was a hard-fought affair, with The MongolZ finding themselves a map down after dropping their Inferno map pick in overtime due to a fantastic Ali "Wicadia" Haydar Yalçın performance.

Nuke was a completely different story, however, as the Mongolian squad romped to a 13-2 victory and kept up their momentum on the Dust2 decider.

The 1-0 pool will see the apEX-less Vitality lock horns with The MongolZ , while FURIA will be looking to keep their win streak going against Natus Vincere .

Liquid , who pulled off one of Saturday's biggest upsets by defeating MOUZ , will face FUT , while BETBOOM will square off against Nemiga .

In the 0-1 pool, the headline fixture is Aurora vs G2 , who have not met since BLAST Open Porto.

Spirit will aim to recover from their opening-day setback against TYLOO , while MOUZ will try to claim their first win at the event against 9z . Rounding out the 0-1 pool will be a Brazilian derby featuring Legacy and DENDELE .

The writing was on the wall, and The MongolZ only tallied one CT round, giving way to a crushing Vitality victory, 13-6.

The MongolZ went up 2-0, but their struggles soon started and were nowhere more apparent than they were in newcomer Yesuntumur "nin9" Gantulga , who failed to deal damage in six rounds in a row as flameZ ran rampant on the attack.

Usukhbayar "910" Banzragch (1.55 map rating) and Sodbayar "Techno" Munkhbold (1.51) took over proceedings and helped The MongolZ take a 13-9 victory, aided by two won pistols, and secure a spot in the 1-0 pool.

Opinion

Fictional bylines. Each take uses a line above and adds no facts.

The headline skips this: "The victory comes just days after The MongolZ secured the title at 1win Private Club Season 2, likely earning a Singapore Major Stage 2 invite in the process." That is the reading I would argue. The rest of the card does not cancel it.

Team Spirit still has to answer for this: "The Mongolian team are making their tier-one debut with Yesuntumur "nin9" Gantulga at the Romanian tournament, and while their newest recruit averaged a steady 1.04 rating acr…" That is the soft spot on the card. Nothing else in these lines closes it.

FURIA can stand on this line: "The 1-0 pool will see the apEX-less Vitality lock horns with The MongolZ , while FURIA will be looking to keep their win streak going against Natus Vincere ." It is already on the card, so the case does not need a streak or a roster rumor.
