DENDELE eliminate lackluster G2 from PGL Masters Bucharest

DENDELE have handed G2 a surprise early elimination from PGL Masters Bucharest after defeating the international squad with a 2-1 scoreline. G2 thus exit Bucharest without a single victory to their name, losing all three matches against Natus Vincere , Aurora and DENDELE .

G2 began the match well, winning a second-round forcebuy to get off to an early lead on their defense. That was as good as it got for the international squad, however, as their gameplan completely fell apart.

They went on to win just two more rounds on the map despite Artem "r1nkle" Moroz having a good individual performance (1.30 map rating, 0.38 ahead of his closest teammate), with their T side looking especially lackluster.

It looked like G2 were set for a mapless series after they failed to bounce back on the start of Ancient, with DENDELE eventually running away to a 12-6 lead.

G2 made the most out of DENDELE 's closing issues by forcing overtime, cashing in their experience to take the series to a third map with a 16-14 win.

Their comeback proved to be all for nought, as DENDELE had no trouble closing out the map and breezed past them on the Inferno decider with a 13-5 victory to stay alive in Bucharest.

Aurora and Liquid will be the first teams to fight for a playoff berth, followed by the day's headline match between Spirit and MOUZ .

It will be the eighth meeting between the teams this year after recent clashes at ESL Pro League and the finals of BLAST Bounty Season 2 Finals and BLAST Open Porto, with MOUZ holding a 3-1 record over Spirit since the summer break.

Justinas "jL" Lekavicius will face off against Natus Vincere for the first time in his career and since departing the organization in July in the final 2-1 match of the day.

Regardless of the result, the Lithuanian rifler will play five matches as a stand-in for Vitality before the November 2 VRS update, making it likely he will receive stickers at the Singapore Major instead of Dan "apEX" Madesclaire .

The elimination pool will see three Brazilian teams fighting for their lives, starting with DENDELE looking to carry forward their momentum from their victory over G2 against Nemiga .

For DENDELE , this is a disappointing end to the tournament, but the Brazilian squad can find solace in their win against G2 , which saw them all but confirm their Singapore Major spot.

The series began on Nuke, where Aleksandr "KaiR0N-" Anashkin started like a man possessed and had a 16-0 K-D after eight rounds. While he cooled off somewhat and finished on a 1.88 rating, his teammates did more than enough to cruise to a 13-3 victory.

Ancient was slightly closer thanks to DENDELE winning two pistol rounds, but Nemiga barely broke a sweat on the way to a 13-6 victory to stay alive in Bucharest.

Garidmagnai "bLitz" Byambasuren was the star of the show for his team, topping the board on Mirage (1.74 map rating) and finishing second-highest on Inferno (1.47) to help the Mongolians stay alive in Bucharest.

The MongolZ are now set for a playoff-qualifying clash in the 2-2 pool, where Liquid and Nemiga are already present, while Legacy suffer another early elimination after placing 5th-6th at Thunderpick World Championship.

The match itself was fairly comfortable for The MongolZ , who began Mirage with a 7-5 CT half before dominating proceedings on their offense despite losing a second-round forcebuy to secure a 13-8 win.

Inferno finished with the same scoreline, with bLitz 's men taking over in the final few rounds to turn a 7-8 deficit into a 13-8 win and keep themselves alive in the tournament.

Fictional bylines. Each take uses a line above and adds no facts.

G2 Esports can stand on this line: "G2 began the match well, winning a second-round forcebuy to get off to an early lead on their defense. That was as good as it got for the international squad, however, as their …" It is already on the card, so the case does not need a streak or a roster rumor.

The headline skips this: "G2 began the match well, winning a second-round forcebuy to get off to an early lead on their defense. That was as good as it got for the international squad, however, as their …" That is the reading I would argue. The rest of the card does not cancel it.

Team Spirit still has to answer for this: "G2 began the match well, winning a second-round forcebuy to get off to an early lead on their defense. That was as good as it got for the international squad, however, as their …" That is the soft spot on the card. Nothing else in these lines closes it.
