G2 spiral continues after loss to Aurora
G2 beat Aurora twice in August but their fortunes have reversed since, and the difference between the two sides was made stark in the 0-1 match at PGL Masters.

Aurora had to earn their 2-0 win, losing both pistols before winning Cache 13-11, and needing an Özgür "woxic" Eker ace to fire their 16-14 comeback win on Inferno, but were the better side in the gun rounds and deserved their 2-0 win.
Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo was the star on Cache, with two brilliant B holds , and was joined by Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş winning eight opening duels. Inferno, long a G2 favorite, was next and we seemed set for a decider after Aurora went 12-9 behind.
But that was when woxic came alive with all five frags in a 2v5, as G2 's stunning lack of coordination was laid bare.
That laid the path to overtime, and it took another Aurora ace, this time from Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski , who was blind for half of the kills, to take the scoreline up to 16.
After a day one loss to The MongolZ , it's an important win for Aurora who are set for a Stage 3 invite to the Major as things stand. G2 , meanwhile, now sit 0-2 and face a second group stage exit in a row.
Their only win since losing the FPG 3 final in September came against ShindeN , a run of six losses in seven matches.

The headline skips this: "After a day one loss to The MongolZ , it's an important win for Aurora who are set for a Stage 3 invite to the Major as things stand. G2 , meanwhile, now sit 0-2 and face a seco…" That is the reading I would argue. The rest of the card does not cancel it.
