With the event ending one day before the invites for the PGL Singapore Major 2026 go out and featuring an impressive $75k prizepool, the event was always expected to be a priority target for teams looking to make the Major.
This importance led to something of a "bloodbath" as 31 applications were filled out in the first 20 minutes for the 16-team LAN if you count duplicate submissions.
When we look at distinct teams, the 16th spot was claimed by 100 Thieves just five five minutes after the sign-up form opened, with eight teams being paid up and ready to compete in the event.
Notably, Voca and SportsBetExpert are also in a prime position to claim spots at the event as they were part of that first wave of 16 teams to sign-up for the event and thus just need to pay the sign-up fee.
Wildcard is also on the team list, however they are 17th in line for a spot, meaning they will need a team above them to renounce their claim to a spot.
