The match certainly meant more to Aurora than Spirit , with the newly-minted international lineup hoping to legitimize their recent improvements and get closer to a Stage 3 berth for Singapore Major.

Those facts bore out on the server, with Aurora seeming sharper in every department as Spirit fell to a lacklustre defeat, frustration evident on their player cams throughout much of the series.

Wicadia Dualies ace kicks off third-place decider Aurora should have secured Mirage more quickly than they did, as the European combine raced out to a 6-1 lead off the back of a pistol win and a couple of very convincing gun rounds.

Spirit , however, were able to break Aurora 's momentum with some low-buy wins and secure five rounds by the half.

Another strong start to the second half kept Aurora in the driver's seat, and although Andrey "tN1R" Tatarinovich and Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov offered a bit of resistance, Aurora duly marched to a victory on their opponent's map pick.

Aurora outplay Spirit in the mid round despite insane sh1ro MP9 spray transfer Anubis was even more one-sided, the frustration apparent on Spirit 's player cams as they simply couldn't play themselves into the game.

Opinion

Fictional bylines. Each take uses a line above and adds no facts.

Team Spirit still has to answer for this: "The match certainly meant more to Aurora than Spirit , with the newly-minted international lineup hoping to legitimize their recent improvements and get closer to a Stage 3 bert…" That is the soft spot on the card. Nothing else in these lines closes it.

The headline skips this: "The match certainly meant more to Aurora than Spirit , with the newly-minted international lineup hoping to legitimize their recent improvements and get closer to a Stage 3 bert…" That is the reading I would argue. The rest of the card does not cancel it.
