regain and Marsborne claim victories as CROSSFIRE Season 6 upper-bracket quarterfinals conclude
Last weekend saw another twelve matches play out in the playoffs of CROSSFIRE Season 6. Four matches were the upper-bracket quarterfinals, which saw several upsets, like regain edging past Without a Roof and Olympus beating DETONATE.

Marsborne and Overtake Sector also picked up wins to round out the first four teams to reach the top six. The other eight matches were in round two of the lower bracket, with eight teams getting knocked out of the event.
Only sixteen teams are left in the $10,000 event. regain were able to close the gap, but still trailed 5-7 going into the second half.
regain started with five rounds in a row to take the lead back before WaR got five of their own to take map point. regain won the last two rounds of regulation to push the map into overtime.
WaR secured two more map points after a solid CT-side, but again regain stood their ground to force a second overtime. WaR put regain right back against the wall with another two map points, but regain survived once more to reach a third overtime.
Finally getting some map points thanks to a three-round T-side, regain only needed one to close Mirage after WaR failed six chances. regain picked Inferno, but WaR got the first pistol and conversions to go up 4-0.
regain then went on a 7-1 run to put WaR down 5-7.
