In CS:GO they are probably most remembered for their Bulgarian team that almost made the ESL One Cologne 2016 Major Offline Qualifier back in the day.
The organization, "Orbit Esports", that signed ex-F5 is something of a spiritual successor to the original Orbit organization after a somewhat convoluted series of ownership changes.
In brief, the original Orbit ceased operations and merged with Red Reserve (Another big name in the COD space) in 2018. Since then it has been revived on three separate occasions by various parties in Europe and North America.
This most recent iteration "Orbit Esports" was founded in 2023 and purportedly features the original founder of Orbit, Nathan "BillyG" Sheridan, and members of the content creation team among its leadership.
