New LAR rifle model discovered in CS2 game files
While yesterday's update brought few notable changes to the game, some in the community have found information in the game files that suggest bigger things could be in the works.

Roughly a month ago, dataminers like Gabe Follower discovered a new weapon was added called the M14. In yesterday's update the gun was given a new game and an in-game model.
If the new gun was added to the game, it would be the first one added since the release of Counter-Strike 2 .
Also read: Valve drop surprise update featuring "Big Head" mode in October 28th CS2 update When initially found last month, the rifle had similar stats to the AWP with the same damage, kill reward, and clip size.
The main difference was that instead of having a scope like the AWP, the M14 only had an iron sight and cost less at $4,100. Additionally, after the first clip was emptied, the gun would reload one bullet at a time like the XM1014 shotgun.
The latest update to the game gave us the first look at the potential new weapon as a model was added to the game files that looks similar to a classic Winchester rifle.
The gun was renamed to the LAR, which likely stands for lever action rifle and has a holographic sight that offers only a small zoom like the AUG.
