A 2-0 group stage granted LAG swift passage to the playoffs, where they took down Sutti's Money Crew and NuTorious to claim the trophy.
With 26 points in NSTLGA's "circuit" system, LAG are the favorites to win the $5,000 Crown Prize Pool headed into a yet-to-be-scheduled Black Pearl Cup.
On NuTorious' map pick of Anubis, LAG were inexplicably dominant, winning a flawless 13 rounds as Brendan "Bwills" Williams finished the thrashing with a 2.44 rating. Down 0-2, Nuke was a must-win for NuTorious, and win they did.
AWPer Thomas 'bones' Degenhardt served an important role in the 13-10 victory, finishing the map with 21 kills and a 1.54 rating. As hopes of a reverse sweep grew stronger, NuTorius found themselves down just one round at 8-9 on Ancient.
The series ended in a flurry of chaotic clutches, including a 1v3 from Justin "Sandman" Saulle and a pair of 1v2s from Cryptic and Bwills in the closing minutes of their 13-8 win.
