While Evil Geniuses have not competed in Counter-Strike since late 2023, their laudable achievements and lamentable shortcomings have left their marks on the community. Evil Geniuses' earliest involvement in CS dates back to the early 2000s, when the team was run by Alexander Garfield.
By the 2010s, the North American org had fielded some of the region's most notable players, including Daniel "fRoD" Montaner and Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert.
After exiting CS in 2012, the organization returned from hiatus under the ownership of Peak6 in 2019, signing the former NRG outfit that would quickly go on to win ESL One New York 2019.

Within the same year, they also launched the infamous "Blueprint" project, seeing the organization retain an unprecedented 15 players and three rosters. The ambitious campaign failed to yield results, however, and Evil Geniuses CS soon dissolved following the unceremonious exit of CEO Nicole LaPointe Jameson.
EG has not competed in Counter-Strike since, although their VALORANT team, led by retired CS coach Christine "potter" Chi and featuring Ethan "ethan" Arnold, did win VALORANT Champions 2023.
